This cake was all about color! The bride wanted something fresh and alive and went with the butterflies to accomplish this effect.

I love this location. It has it all. The views, a wonderful ballroom, place for your guests to stay and relax……The Bride went with creams, whites and golds. Each cupcake had a white flower on it with a fondant leaf painted with  edible gold leaf. Very classy!

Hydrangeas are beautiful on a cake, but you need to remember that they need water all the time.Even 5 minutes out of water can mean droopy flowers at your reception. This also makes them tricky when putting them on a wedding cake. Always keep a really good silk version as an option for your cake, especially if you are doing an outside wedding where weather could be a factor. This bride choose to use sugar flowers that looked like hydrangea buds to compliment what she was doing for center pieces.
